Eric, have you had a chance to look at the Belles piece? The majority of
2 channel pre's with HT Bypass are typically tube oriented pieces. I am
still thinking about other good solutions for you.
I have to say I am very surprised parasound did not include HT Bypass.

I apologize in advance for the complete newb question, but I've just
spent a head-spinning 2 hours reading through the forums on the topic
of power supply upgrade and this thread seems to be the friendliest

Well following on from all your advice I thought I would give an
update.
I am no longer searching for floorstanders. New speakers are still an
option, however.
I pointed my speakers in much more so that they 'meet' in front of my
listening position as I was finding I could actually hear more
Sean also commented that the "Signal-to-noise ratio" and "Total harmonic
distortion" were lifted directly from the spec sheef of the DAC. this
was based on the reference circuit design not necesarily the one the
Reciever uses.
The figures will be revised when they get time to measure a sample of
10 matches
