Themis;349108 Wrote: That is weird, indeed. Perhaps an over-sampling circuit ? Themis - the TACT does asychnronously resample for its internal processing - and you can set the output rate up to 192. My DAC can only handle 96, but I usually have it set on 88.2. I've just changed every front

OK - So I put the SB3 analogue o/p on the scope and guess what? - a perfect Gibbs squarewave - nice horizontals. Putting the DAC output on the other channel and comparing the waves side by side it's obvious that something is wrong in my setup somewhere. Immediately I leap to the conclusion it's

Some more strange things...using the Alan Parsons sine wave, the display from SB3+TACT+DAC is perfect - no noise or distortion visible. A really beautiful classic sine trace. However, the SB3 analogue out is quite noisy... the sine shape is correct with no distortion but it looks like low-level

When I was testing Transporter's digital loop-through feature with a Tact processor, I was surprised to find that the Tact appeared to upsample everything to a fixed rate used for internal processing, then (optionally) downsample to the chosen rate at the output. This would happen even in bypass

2008-10-12 Thread muski
I have played back 5.1 DTS files successfully from an SB2 into a Sony surround sound receiver. The hard part is the ripping/transcoding, not the playback. If you want to skip the ripping/transcoding steps, try downloading some 5.1 DTS files from this Swedish Radio site:

Thanks for the recommendations! What about ripping DTS CD's? Is there software that will do that as well? -- orrinc orrinc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1615 View this thread:
