Still mulling over whether I like the change or not.
My system usually takes a good 30 mins of use to really wake it up, and
the additional brightness is rather useful at

It's humbling enough to concentrate and listen the same song 2 times in
a row, does it sound the same ? no. Brain at work (or not) again.

I've been using my Transporter for almost a year now without
experiencing any problems. However, lately whenever my Transporter is
idle - either not playing any music or switched off with the display
showing only the time - then both the displays flash brightly every 30
seconds or so. This
Some time ago, I ordered the complete kit (Grand 12 Inches by Ben
Liebrand vols 1-5, total 20 CD's) and ripped it all over the holidays
and found some time to listen to it.
So, what is it all about? There are a couple of groups of tracks in
this set: those which were already on digital masters
Hi All
I was that impressed with the sound of my duet that i convinced myself
that the transporter should be the next step up,but on side by side
comparison i find that the duet actually sounds better than the
transporter
Am i missing something or have i just wasted my money,

Have you checked the usual suspects, i.e. making sure replaygain,
transcoding, crossfading, and other signal-manipulating features are
turned off?

I've removed all remotes from the room and any possible source of IR or

clockwork the display flashes/glitches every 20 seconds when the

I've just noticed that the digital TOS sounds different from RCA digital
input. The RCA digital is fuller and TOS is a little thinner.
BTW, does your TOS cable snap into the Transporter input or just kind
of mush in and hang there?

I thourgt that the sb3 sounded more relaxed then the transporter out
the analog outs .
What you prefere is personal .
The digital output of the transporter havvever clearly sounded better
into my former tact amp IMO.

Many have said you won't hear a difference from S/PDIF. I got my
Transporter for 24/96 capability, dual displays, direct control when
needed, nicer looking on the rack. But for 16/44.1 rips I didn't expect
it to sound any different than the SB3 I had, and indeed, it does not. I

The analogue outs on the TP should outperform the Tag. Try it!

I'm not so sure it is a hardware problem. Why would it behave like this
only while the Transporter is not playing music. I can play music and
the display is fine, then press pause and then the flashes will start
happening every 20 seconds, press play again and the problem
disappears...

I'm not sure if this is related, but I have noted the following
behaviour quite regularly. When switching off my TP via the remote,
either while it is playing or stopped, I would immediatley get the Date
and Time screensaver which is correct. However, a while after that it
will suddenly display

Maybe you could capture it with a photograph, in a darkened room with a
