Best post I've read in a while Gandt ! That's exactly what happens to

And I'm convinced that burn-in has a very limited effect (there might
be one or not, I don't know), but it sure takes some time to get used
to new hardware and enjoy it fully.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to see if any of you have experienced any amount of audible

In my house, when the wife wants a new washing machine, she gets it. And
it doesn't allow me to buy stuff to evaluate if burning is needed.

How is a washing machine not frivolous ? Who needs clean clothes when

True, but without the machine, I get to wash the clothes by hand. Down
by the river on the rocks. Which will take up all the time that I would
be using to listen to

I'm curious if anybody has tried using any of pas-products graphics
equalizer studio products or spectrum analyzers products at
www.pas-products.com? Since I listen to all of my music in my hi-fi
system with a HTPC it makes sense to explore the software EQ route over
the hardware route first.
If you're interested in software DSP (either EQ or DRC) check out Inguz
(inguzaudio.com). Several members of this forum including myself use
it.
Search for past threads on this topic. Inguz is free to download and
runs on the music server alongside SqueezeCenter. The latest version
does not
Just FYI, the latest version of Inguz does in fact support 7.3+ I am
using it on 7.3.2 with no problems.
The only reported issue is that for some users, there seems to be a
problem with generating sweep signals. We are awaiting a solution.

For those who are interested, I tried a little A/B comparison myself
over the weekend with the transporter. I have a Krell Showcase /
Martin Logan system which uses balanced connections throughout, so it
is (relatively) easy to swap bits in and out of the chain - well at
least the plugs all fit.
