Sorry, I must have misunderstood :-)
Thought question was "Why did you switch from Transporter to SB
Touch?"
I did not stated before above question, that Transporter was used only
as digital source in my system.
Anyway, let's put this aside and enjoy our music :-)

After realizing the fact that my current dac sounds better enough to
make decision to sell either Touch or Transporter, I did comparison
which of them is better as digital source. Obviously, taking into
account finances and other us
Actually some of the tube guys swear by this tweak?
I might try it round my breaker panel later!

I agree with Michael's summary, I have a pair of Audio Note P4's,
pushing Esl 63's, much prefer my own DAC which runs a total of eight
PCM1704's.

That's not really relevant to the question of which one performs better

Audiomuze is right. I use Touch as digital transport only.
Logitech Transporter is a very fine audio piece and it's been
entertaining me for some time. If it was the last dac I had I would
live with it. However, we all have the choice and I have always felt
that it did not provide suf

Yes take them apart first and have a good look around in there, it
sounds like something loose, or just the screws on the front, just
tighten them gently or they will strip.

Touch apparantly has lower jitter passthrough than the Transporter.
Looks like an external DAC is in use, hence Touch is being used only as
a transport.

Now that you have been running with the SB Touch for a while, are there

Just interested. I currently have an original Transporter going into a
Cyrus 8XP dQX with B&W CDM1NT speakers.

I'd also point out that such a person could also buy their own

YEARS ago Aragon made D/A converters and pre-amps with AC to DC
converter to eliminate interference from electricity. Someone also
sold a 'black magic' power strip that prevented inteference. It just
seems more practical.
