surprised - ambience and depth and clarity all seem better. All I can suggest is try it - took me about an hour to download the software, understand the instructions and do it (and 15 mins when I did it again on a friend's Touch)

Yipppe Sorted - I had two versionsof FLAC, an older one in a differetnt directory. Don't know which one Foobar searches for but removed both, reinstalled one and then Foobar prompts me to tell it where FLAC is. et voila ! Thanks for all the help guys. -- li
