My absolute favorite bookshelf speaker is the Thiel SCS4. That may be too large for you as I am unsure of those requirements. At one time they did have an active version but I have never heard them. ATC is probably the nest sounding active speaker I have experience with. The Thiel is up there with

Our current main system is a SB3/Chord DAC64/Rega pre/power and PMC FB1's. We are in the process of moving and in doing so will lose our through lounge/diner/kitchen arrangement. Which of course means it's an excuse for some new kit. At some stage the FB1's will have to go, they're simply too bi
