An excellent idea! And you're not going to break the bank trying it.
There's only one slight drawback with this seemingly faultless
suggestion: - it's bollocks.

I have another suggestion- why not just drink a cup of coffee while

some teflon tape.
Good one;) The only problem is, unlike

Running the server separately rather than with an attached hard drive
will give more benefit than most other tweaks. I did this and was
shocked at the difference in quality.

I believe I'm correct in thinking that running the Touch in stand alone
compared to server touch environment makes no difference to the sound
quality.

You may have seen my other posts about me currently having a Rega Dac
(£498) on home trial.
My dilema is this, I'm using different friends to do some a/b
comparisons and so far they noticed differences with the track played
using the onboard and external dacs.
However, would it be more
You are better off running a server over internal touch for lots of
reasons independent of DAC or tt mods.

I second the interconnects they are cheap and a lot better than the

I'm very happy with the bass from the menuets. I sold my Dynaudio
floorstanders as the general consensus on here were that they were too
big for the new room.

Have you considered removing the output caps on the Touch? It's free.
(Unless you botch it, of course.)

high quality speaker, but it is small .
if you want real bass in your life :P There is simply a whole octave

well integrated subwoofer ?
But then again
I think Mnyb's advice is generally good. However, I got excellent
results from Emotiva, X-series interconnects and Blue Jeans speaker
cables. Either is not expensive and may be worth a try.
Better speakers and their position in the room are more likely than an
external DAC to make a substantial
Yea, I'm going to have to agree on the speaker issue. The Menuet rolls
off at 68 hz. You'll get a lot more life out of your music if you
picked up floorstanders or possibly the Mentor sub.
