Phil,

Pfarrell,
I happen to like a bit of R&B (the modern variety) now and then...most
(but NOT all) recordings are poor but so what? Bah humbug! :)

Has anybody added a quality subwoofer to the Boom? Seems to me the best
way to gauge any audiophile aspirations would be to add the bottom 2
octaves via an outboard sub and allow the small 3" drivers to operate
in their frequency comfort zone.

My $0.02. It sounds very good for the form factor, and I love it. It
also looks fantastic and seems very well designed and well made. The

Excellent, looks like I'll be ordering mine this week.
Logitech have a web-site for every country in Europe except Ireland, so
I may check in Curry's to see if I can get one any quicker that way.

Can someone tell me if this is shielded from the "phone home"
interference from a mobile phone.
I can't leave a mobile phone anywhere near my current iPod dock/alarm
clock.
Would someone mind placing a phone near the boom with the volume at a
reasonable level and then calling the phone/send it a

I blew out the drivers of four Large Advents on the early Kunzel, Erich

The sound quality is excellent given the price point. It sounds
considerably better than the pair of Swan M200 bookshelf speakers I
have connected to a SB3 in my office.
There is an issue at high volume - on bass-heavy hiphop the output
distorts strongly in the bass by about 80 on the volume.

As a grumpy audiophile, I won't go as far as superb, but it sounds
really good, surprisingly better than I expected.
Its clear that there are real speakers in it, and by bi-amping it, and
paying a lot of

Its amazing, a fair number of folks say they ordered one when it was
announced and have already received them.
My "early unit" was part of the beta test.

I agree entirely with Phil. The sound of this small box is just superb.
I've not heard any device of this type or price point that sounds
anywhere near as good. It certainly does not have anything of the
clinical digital sound or the boxy hollowness commonly associated with
this type of device (in
Going back to Pat's original question, I'm going to have to answer yes.
I've just been doing some critical listening against my main system
(see below). Of course this is hardly a fair comparison, but...
It sounds more than acceptable - in fact very, very good. It only
really slightly struggles o

Some of us very fortunate folks were asked to participate in the Beta
Testing programme - and of course we had to sign the usual

Question if the SqueezeBoom is now the boombox for the 21st Century does
that mean that the vacuum fluorescent display is now the flashing lights

No, but for the discriminating listener I'll be performing audiophile
modifications to the unit including:
*Replacement of wall wart with much heavier linear supply.
*Addition of silver speaker wires internally.
*Coating of C-41 lacquer on woofers.
*Removal of metal speaker grills. (not recommend
Though it may sound good for a "boom box", I can't see using the word
audiophile in the same sentence as "boom box". :)

It sounds pretty good for a boombox.
Or is it too inexpensive?
