Dave, your sentiments echo my thoughts; I've never had a bad Blue J
I have had bad luck with a spring loaded, round connector (ie not form
fitting), glass toslink cable made by Dayton. The fit is sloppy, and
won't support the cable's own weight, resulting in intermittent signal
loss
When it does work, I haven't been able to hear any difference between

Nice, a bit under $5 with greater than 95% 5-star rating for over 200
users. I'll definitely pick up one of those. Even if it ends up
taking a backseat, you can't go wrong for the price.

You could get one, then ABX it with your existing cables to see if it

Until recently I've used my Rotel transport direct via analog out, but
lately have been more impressed with my CI Audio DAC. The DAC allows
one optical-in and one coax-in. My older transport has only coax-out,
so naturally I'm going to be using my SB3's optical out.
