I use the Shunyatas, and I love them. Costly though.

This guy disected a Shunyata Hydra and found it was easy and inexpensive
to clone. I built one with a tripp-lite hosital grade power strip in
very little time. I can't say that it made a noticeable difference to
audio quality but could be that my power was pretty clean to begin
with.

Thanks!
I have to believe that nearly all audiophiles with systems frequently
costing the same amount as a compact car (or more) have demo'd various
power line filters such as:

FWIW, got mine from The Cable Company

you can try any of the cables they sell at home (a few strings

Richard Gray, Shunyata or Furutech is generally considered the best, I
think. But like Stereophile said, a Furutech might work well with a
cdplayer while another brand works well with an amplifier. I dont event
want to go there, life is too short.
And again, try before you buy.

I have access to Richard Gray gear, so I may try one. It's the real
deal from what I gather. Still hoping some audiophile around here has
experience with Lightspeed..

might want to give the LCaudio power filter a try. Its a cheap, simple
no-nonsense product that really removed a veil on the poweramp I had

OK with me if you want to slag on Monster. They've given new life to PT
Barnum's favorite saying.
Do you use their connectors made of oyster eyelashes, to minimize salt

I don't use any on my audio equipment. I assume that the manufactures
have done good research and have the correct amount of line filtering

However, for computer equipment I almost always use Liebert (or

I use a Furman PL-8 series II, available at Guitar Center for $159.
It does not have any negative effect on the sound that I can detect.
