We used a reverse pulley system at Bacchus Marsh for some years back in the
60's. Great system, on one day we launched I think nine gliders before the
first one landed, no lift conditions. Very fast very simple and safe.

Long story kept short. We were forced to aerotow by the Dept. or else we
would have lost BCS. Long story is the years of Dept. pressure to remove the
gliding. Great reading for history buffs.
