Ken, Sorry to contradict, but Qantas lost a "Constellation"airliner on take-off at Mauritius 25/08/1960. The a/c was a total write off. Prior to this accident,on 28/03/1946 a Qantas operated, British registered "Lancastrian" was lost with all on board en route to the Cocos Islands. No trace
