We have a sort of reverse consignment stock process for much of then
inventory we make (probably around 90% of our items).
We make a product (that is made to order for the customer), invoice
it to the customer, but then hold it in stock to be used later in a

Did you get a definitive answer to this?
What IS the purpose of checking the primary stocking box?

Hi everyone
I want to use the arrival journal for receipts but I do not want to use Pallets dimension and automatic locations.
Is there a way to use this arrival journal without using pallets or an inbound location? How should I configure this?
I want to receipt the item straight into a loc
Yes... I guess I was just not looking hard enough through the built in
functions...of the name just did not stand out.
Either way. Thanks everyone!

Right-click in a code
window and select "List Built-In functions", that will give you a
list of useful functions. In your case, you need to use curuserid().

Hello
All,
I am wondering... how can one, in code, detect the current user? I
know that the function curExt() returns to you in a string what the current
company is. Is there a function that exists that will tell you the current
user?
thanks
in advance!

Hello there,
I need some basic X++ input here... :-)
I have created a dialog in which you can select a given vendor.
1. How do I limit the number of vendors to those that meet a certain
criteria, let's say those in a particular vendor group ?
2. How do I check that a manually entered account num

That's most likely going to be it... DCP-AX... either way,
I still want to get it in Axapta 3.0, for MBSCP, because... well... I mean
Axapta 3.0 is what's going to be used for a while. Only new installations will
be using Dynamics AX.
Upgrading is a big project, and I fi
Well true...
But I figured I would go ahead and get it in Axapta 3.0,
and then when Dynamics AX came out, go ahead and get the test done for it. I
figure there will not be that much of changes to the Programming
test.

P.S. I am sure it will be something like: DCP, or DAXCP,
Thats nice but remember MBS is changing (has changed) to Dynamics and Axapta to AX.
So your MBSCP will be on a old acronym, new v4 is coming out for Dynamics AX, not to sure what they will call the MBSCP though.
(Not to worry I must still go and write 2).

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on this. I believe I
now have a good starting point for studying. Hopefully I can prepare and take
the test, and pass before the end of the year. It would be nice to be able to
say I am MBSCP (I believe that would be the acronym! ;-) )
thanks again!

There is no collective of picking list registration/posting
for all or some selected production orders.
Axapta is creating one picking list per production
order..

i did some testing and i have to take my words back.
index hint is useful when your query is using forceliterals and the data in the table is radically different to the data on which the statistics was updated.

You can use periodic-report as finished (provided you are back-flushing the picking list).

Dear Murali
Creating free text invoice is one option. But you have
to check whether you have created the same posting
profile in General ledger and Fixed asset posting
profile.
If the both are same, it will work.

Hi Marlena,
In a closed period you cannot post transactions.
Go to the periods forms under General
Ledger/Setup/Periods/Periods
In this form find the period belonging to the date of
very invoice and change the status to "open".
After posting the transaction you can close the period
again.

Hello there,
I was wondering if Axapta has an option to register picking list consumption
across work orders ?
Currently, as I see it, you must use one journal per works order, i.e. you
lookup the production, create a pick list journal, goto Lines and add the
item. This must be performed for ever
