books written today, i.e. biographies, etc., with many inaccuracies.

I find your Isaac Machado Lima, as you say, coming to the US 13 Jun
1912, ship Roma, and he is from CInco RIbeiras Terceira and came into
Providence going to his brother Francisco M. Lima in Alameda CA.
Found him on the 1920 census, NB, listed as Isace Lima and this also
looks like the same first name on the ship's manifest. Is Isace a
Portuguese name?

Thanks for this lookup! I guess Isace is a typo for Isaac. Family has
told me that the two oldest children were born in New Bedford and that
is where they married. I am trying to verify family info to validate
what I was told. I don't think the son was born in Azores, but I guess
it is possible.
