Cheri, I only did lesson one.  I think it would be helpful to someone who is trying to read and understand the written words in a document.   Personally, I have done very little of that.  When I look at a record and phonetically sound out loud each word, I can remember words from my grandmother

I just played around with 2 of the modules/lessons. I don't read one letter at a time, I read a whole word at a time, so that's hard. Also, they don't use the same words as the Azorean records (our wife is usually called a "mulher" more often than an esposa). I gave them feedback on that. Cheri

Carmen, I checked the St. John's Cemetery book and the closest I can find is in St. Theresa Section - Vieira, Joaquim 1892-1950 and Luiz 1889-1964. If it is possible they had no stone, they would not be in the book I have. Also, if they died after the book was printed, they would not be in it.
