The library at San Jose State has archives on microfilm for SJ Mercury. Not sure how far back they have them but I know at least thru 1950's. FYI, some of the more current issues are on library online but obits are not included. And there is a parking garage across the street in case anyone is

Hi Linda, You can try checking all of the baptismal records (Baptismos) for the freguesias that are listed - Agua do Pau, Cabouco, Rosario, and Santa Cruz (if you don't know the village).  After you click ver next to baptismos for the particular village, then there are dates you can click on.
