There is a Enos family Tree at Ancestry.com that shows a Rosalina Augusta of
Piedade, Pico. It shows a son as Antonio Silveira Bettencourt b Sep 1870 .
This Antonio also came to California. However when referencing him on a
shiplist, he tells his birthplace is Santo Amaro, Pico. He is not found in
Katherine, Perhaps Thomas Bettencourt is related to Urbano Bettencourt.
Thomas was born in Piadade in 1867 and died in California USA in 1954. I'm
trying to get a confirmation of some sort on his mother and father. I do
have a picture of his father, but am unsure of his first name. no dates.

Yes, Eric. Thomas is her son. I have found that he was born Dec 22, 1867.
in Piadade, Pico. That must be her. Rosalina was his mother. What was the
name of her Silviera parents? What dates are on the baptismal records. Was
she baptized in the Catholic Nossa Senora da Piadade church? or was
Nossa Senhora do Rosario in the town of Lajes. I'd say on the island of
Flores.

Cheri - There's a branch of Paixão from Madeira and Porto Santo if what you're
looking for leads you there. The Arquivo Regional da Madeira website has all
of the marriages of Porto Santo on line, you can get the year from that but
would need the films for the actual dates. Branches of this

She is the woman getting married in this casamento. I cannot figure out
what it says for her, and haven't been able to find her record
I have these Mendonca's born in Achadina, Nordeste, Sao Miguel. John
Pacheco Mendonca b. abt. 1860 and wife Jacintha Augusta b. abt. 1861.
Her parents are Manuel de Souza and Ana Joaquina Augusta. I do not
have his parents. Their children Agostinho b. abt. 1889, Maria b.
abt. 1891 both b. Achadi
