Sherry, In Sao Miguel rua do Conde (Conde Street) in Ponta Delgada was in the Parish of Sao Jose. I believe the name changed to rua Doutor Joao Francisco de Sousa (Doctor Joao Francisco de Sousa street). Messrs meant that there were multiple misters i.e. Antonio, Oscar and Antero. And Yes, it d

This lady was my gg grandmother. Oscar Pacheco Horta was my g grandfather. When he came to the US he stayed in New Bedford. The family story is that his brother, Francisco was a Professor in Brazil. Now I wonder where Conde St. was. The family was supposedly from Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel.
