I am looking for any information on my grandfather John Dutra. He died in
when my mother was just 7 years old so there has been no connection with
his family. According to his death record on familysearch.org his was born
15 Aug 1905 in other country and died 9 Oct 1940 in Orange County, CA

children. My grandmother, Mary (born 12 Apr 1910, Cambridge), Manuel (born

birth for him in 1918. or it could be the child of the niece. In my
research it is always 2 years earlier than what my ancestors stated they
were born and what was on death cert and headstone. sometimes even more
years
Lionel,
Leo is referring to Belchior Gomes Noia of Flores.I sent him a tree

The name Dutra is descended from the original Captian Donatry of the island
of Fayal. All Dutras are linked to him. You will have to discover which
parish on the island of Fayal he was from. When you will find the parish you
will then find the church records. The Mormon church has made
