I have a membership to Ancestry.com and for the most part seem to have
expired the available data. Is Family Tree Maker just an enhancement
to my Ancestry membership? I am just wondering where I might go
next...any thoughts?

As you mention, each of these records are clearly written.
On the baptism, Daniel was baptized, and, as is the case in this matter, the
father is not mentioned - nor would he be mentioned, unless he comes forward

On Ancestry, you can keep your genealogy in the cloud, on their servers.
With Family Tree Maker, you will have your own genealogy software on your
computer (back it up yourself). It has a lot more bells and whistles than
Ancestry. It can also sync with Ancestry as well.

I use both Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. Cheri is correct for the overall,
but there are some things to be aware of:

They must of changed it because before you could view it. But doesn't
matter as long as you merge the document (census) to you family tree maker
you can always view it. But still they shouldn't restrict you from viewing
something that you paid for when you were subscribed.
* This is a big one!
Darn, I was hoping they uploaded more records today. I need to view 1868
baptism records. I will be patiently waiting, I guess its good tho other
wise I wouldn't be studying like I am suppose to be doing lol

marriage record below shows on line 12 her father's name as Andre Tsixya (I
believe is Teixeira) and her mother is Maria Correia. This record also
states that Manuel de Sousa and Barbara Correia are from the
I think you should conclude that Andre Rodrigues has two names, Rodrigues
or Teixeira, even if you don't see the Teixeira again. Of course it can be
a mistake, but if the records permit, I think you will find it more likely
that Teixeira is part of Andre's heritage. I have run into too many
