I think your husband’s birth family may connect with a family that I have
entered in my genealogy program as my uncle by marriage was an Anthony DeValle
whose father (married to my mother’s sister), Jose Inacio DeValle was from
Castelo Branco. He is not your Jose as he was born in
Liz,
I think you have the Dad right except add Junior and the Mom is Ursula
Antonia Maciel, I believe.

I have a Francisco, born 22 Oct 1882, son of Henrique da Silva of Mosteiros and
Ana Jacinta de Medeiros of Bretanha, paternal grandson of Francisco da Silva
and Ana Rosa and maternal grandson of Jose Francisco de Medeiros and Mariana
Ricarda. The Bretanha line goes way back to about 1600 in Gine

In the bottom baptism record on the left page for MANUEL...in the last two
or three lines it appears to read that Manuel was baptized on the 18th of
