Wow!!
I hope you don't mind another question: do you know where and/or when the
picture was taken? My sister was wondering, and I can't guess with much
confidence from the clues in the photo (maybe 1940's/1950's Bay Area/ SoCal???)
thanks!

Just wondering if these were photos of your family? That would be quite an
amazing find!

I'm also seeing Manuel Cabral, son of Francisco da Camera and Antonia de

(originally wrote Anna Jacinta, then wrote "digo" to correct himself and
wrote Anna Maria). You are correct that Anna Maria is deceased.

Oh, that's too bad! I love that about Legacy Family Tree! With so many name
changes, I forget! It's so nice to have it right there when you open the

Thanks Rosemarie. I'll have to use my notes because I am unable to rename
fields in my program.

I've used him as well over the past year and he has been thorough in his
translation and speed in turning around "record" requests. Spectacular
person.

Joseph, if you are using Legacy Family Tree there is an 'aka' place to put
the name but it doesn't show on the front or 'primary' page. What I did,
was to take off the 'christening' field and rename it the also-known-as
field and it will show me right on the primary info page that Domingos

Joao has been my primary resource collecting information and documents about my
grandparents and my husband's grandparents for almost 20 years. I can't tell
you how often he has found someone that has been "hidden" behind the "walls"
that sometimes occur while we are searching church records.
Thank you Celeste. My program also has other names but I don't think they
come up on search. Besides, I was thinking more along the lines of what to
assign as the person's primary name. Sometimes I'm not sure and was
wondering if there was a methodology to doing it.

As luck would have it, I have been researching this line for a number of years.
These people are the descendants of the Rego Mirandas of Somerset, MA. I have
the line going back to 1693. I know all of this because I have spent the last
20 years researching the Miranda f
