his scribe enters the info in the wrong book (i.e. a baptism in the
marriage records, death in the baptism records) he also 'missed' a baptism

Has anybody else run into this
I'm still hunting down Joaquim Benedicto. Hopefully I've found, and
translated, his marriage record and birth records of both himself and his
wife. So far I have lots of great new information and two more generations
on both sides.
However, that's if this Joaquim is my Joaquim. I "know" (that's
Antonio Victorino Fagundes (my great grandfather)
Maria Faustina Coracao Jesus (Antonios wife)
Rosa De Jesus Fagundes (Antonios mother, my great great grandmother)
Jose De Sousa Borba (don't know if I can claim him as my great great
grandfather)

At birth his father was declared, incognito.
At marriage the priest declares he is the NATURAL son of Jose de Sousa
Borba. You're lucky, he was mentioned. The parents did not get married.
Please note that Antonio is using the maternal family surname, this also
indicates his father did no

So I'll take that Joao as being the wrong one. I haven't been able to find
