That's that sorta sister site to the CCA. You can either go to the Azores

Since I cannot go in person to view this record, is there another way to
find out what this is about and be able to view the record?

I see some of your Pires ancestors have origins in Pico, Azores.

The Brazil/Brasil list on Rootsweb appears to be largely inactive (maybe
they went to Yahoo or Google Groups)

Maybe FamilySearch has some resources:

Oh boy, Liz. You are in for it if there are that many! You are going to
have to get the marriages on all of them and start trying to match the
children with the parents. You need to make very detailed notes on the
godparents too because that may help you connect the kids with their
parents!
Are you asking for the Pires familiy in Brazil or in the Azores??

I have several great grandparents of the Pires family but can’t find much

history of the Pires families around that time. I have particular

Hello,
Married September 3, 1800
Antonio Silveira, son of Jose Silveira ?something?, ja defunto and Ignes
Silveira
Maria Rosa, daughter of what looks like Manuel Silveira "abbreviated name
that begins with the letter g". and Rosa Maria, ja defunta
I can't say whether or nor they were related,
I see it the same as you.
:)
