Pam, it's my understanding that if you purchased Mac 3.1 (a Software MacKiev product) you can download FTM 2017 for free. I was using Mac 3.0 (still an Ancestry product) and had to pay about $29 for 2017, which, as software goes, is a bargain. Why not check it out. If you can get 2017 for free,

I guess you are right Cheri, there is no trial period for FTM. I made assumption that they all had trial periods, but I don't see it either. Sorry about that. It looks like they are moving to system that periodically checks to see if you have legitimate copy of their software. Not a big deal.
