I'm just getting started with my Azores research.
The family is from Vila Nova (Praia da Vitoria), Ilha Terceira, Azores,
Portugal.
I'm assuming Vila Nova is the parish and the town and Praia da Vitoria is a
district or other governmental location. Help, please!

I'm checking New England website Massachusetts records and Ancestry. I
found one immigration record - Philomena da Luz from Fayal who came to
Boston in 1893.
Can you give me the names and birthdates of any of the children? I
couldn't even locate these people in the census records.
Great comments! It would be a nice five minute introductory topic for a
genealogy meeting before the main speaker.
