One other detail was the spelling of our family's surname. It was TEIXEIRA
but along the way it changed to Texeira.

local LDS many years ago but all of their records were destroyed in a fire. I
will see if they can direct me to another center.

came to Hawaii and then moved to the USA mainland. She was born abt 1872
in Villa do Porto, Santa Maria. That info was given by a cousin, who was
not really sure. Marie de Barros married Joseph Peter Silva in 1887,
