middle name of "Casey". Though he was born in California, both his parents
are Portuguese. No Irish in his ancestry. :)
His UPEC record lists his middle name
Do NOT put on horse blinders...You have to look around and collect the
whole set! You may find the answer you were seeking by looking at another
relative or relation.

Yes, what Rosemarie says is so true! It appears that often the books were
copied over at certain times. So look at all copies of the books as you never
know what you will find. In one book, the secretary, or whoever made the entry
may only give an island….but in another there may be more inform
Don't forget that if there are more than one book for a Councelho to check
out the oldest book. Often the men who joined were single when they joined.
They gave their Mother as beneficiary and then when they married they

And before anyone asks...The UPEC is now defunct. They merged a few years
ago and they are under the umbrella of PFSA. That stands for the Portuguese
Fraternal Society of America. You can read about them here:
