Hi Brian M,
You are talking about what us genealogists call genealogy software. You
will never get a consensus on the "strongest" no matter where you are
searching. It's like trying to poll people for the "best" car. We pick
whatever car suits us and our budgets best. So it is with genealogy

Hey everyone,
I'm curious as to what platform everyone here prefers, or which is
considered the strongest (especially for the Acores).
I currently use MyHeritage, and I'm really happy with it. I'll be keeping
the account no matter what. But does anyone have any input on an
alternative or may

Bob,
Have you tried both civil and catholic records? I believe you can browse
through both sets of records for that time period. If the record you mentioned

What does it mean when a baby was born sub condicianco? Was this baby a
preemie? I get the general gist that the baby was born in less than ideal
health, just wondering if there was something specifically wrong.
Thanks.

You have to write to the Civil Registry. Hopefully you know the date.
It is item 2 on this link:

How do you retrieve someone's death record if they died after 1911? Is there a
place to email that has this information?

Sean,
That's the way it works.a baby is baptized by first name ONLY. I think
in my 23 years so of research, I've seen only 1 baby with two given names.
It was someone who posted it recently on this list.
Start with what you know and work back. That way you will always have the
parents' names.
Hi,
As I search through baptism records I came across people with only first
names. If you look at the link on the bottom left and bottom right it looks
like records for two different people named Ignacia:
