Schedules in Sata Regional do not change, delays and cancellation due
to weather or mechanical. Sata Regional is a commuter and there is no
seat assignment. Residents pay a little less for an airfare

Mario,
Thank you for the reply. I am aware that one can go from London to
the Azores and this would be easier for us but because of the type
ticket we are going from the US to Europe on, I have to take British
Airways from London to Lisbon first and then I am going to Terceira
but because I will

I want to thank everyone for their replies on my SATA questions. I,
too, have heard it is less expensive to purchase tickets within the
islands while you are there but I didn't want to take any chances of
not getting a seat as my schedule is tight. Maybe I will be a little

one of the islands. The only reason for this is just becasue their schedules
change and also because the cost of the ticket
I don't recall anything about my seats on SATA from Terceira to Sao Miguel.
I've been to the Azores 4 times, only one time I had a message that my
flight home was to leave later that originally planned. That would have
been Azores Express between Ponta Delgada and Boston.

Elaine, my experience with SATA interisland flights is that they do not have
assigned seats. I believe that was the same with my Lisbon to Terceira
flilghts.
As for delays and cancellations, that can happen without notice if the weather
is bad. I spent half a day in the airport in Terceira
I recently made mine from Boston to Pico and was not able to chose any seats at
all. I've never had my flights changed.
