Eric G, Some cemeteries will tell me who is surrounding the grave and other cemeteries won't let me see (because it's an invasion of privacy - What?!?! They are dead! How can I invade their privacy??) I guess it just proves that after someone talks to a cemetery, you can go to the monument

Adair, Most obits I get are from the newspaper collections at Ancestry. With the large East Bay Portuguese communities, the Oakland Tribune and the Hayward reviews turn up the most. You show six grandchildren from Manuel and Jennie on the Borba tree. Were you talking about another generation?

What is the best method to finding marriage records? I have family from Hawaii that moved to California, my Aunty Rosaline married a Joe Moniz Lindinha. Their son died about 26 years old and they had two daughters. I have no idea where to start to see if they got married. Any suggestions? I

Gail, I'm not clear on your time line. Rosaline marries Joe and they have a son. 26 years after that son's death, they have 2 daughters. But you don't know if Rosaline married Joe? But then you state that they moved with 3 children. But that doesn't make sense because you said their son died
