Cory, You're going to want your host to be called either "router" or "router.university.edu". If you're on the local network, probably either will work. "laptop" and "laptop.university.edu" will not work, because they're not known on the public side of the router. The error messages you're gett

I see this same behavior. For instance, I have a host that shows 309111 total files on backup #1, and 86 total files on backup #2. I can tell by browsing the backups that there are more than 86 files contained in backup #2, so I had assumed that this means 86 files were transferred. But there's

I know, it's discussed several times, but I can't find a solution for my verification problem. It's an installation on Ubuntu-6.06.1 LTS with apt-get, not compiled! I created a keyfile on my BackupPc-Server (ssh-keygen -t rsa). I copied the file "id_rsa.pub" to my client into /root/.ssh/. Then

Rob, Thanks for clarifying - I figured that laptop and laptop.university.edu would not be discoverable but at this point I'm ready to try anything. Now, in response to your question / suggestions: The router is a D-Link DI-604, and I followed the instructions on www.portforward.com to forward

Hello, On windows clients, often the outlook.pst file cannot be backed up. Now, I could exclude this file and be happy. But sometimes, Outlook is not running during a backup, and in fact the file *could* be backed up. Thus, it would be a pity if it wouldn't. On the down side, the users would get
