I have used Mondo/Mindi. I'm not sure there is a need to incorporate Mindi into Bacula though. For one thing, Mindi will work only for Linux and FreeBSD. For another, Bacula already has the hooks to incorporate Mondo/Mindi through a RunScript directive in bacula-dir.conf. I have always run mond

I do know that in bcosole, you must mount the drive and then issue label to label the media mounted in the volume. Very similar with disc backups if you aren't automatically labeling the volumes. Your choice what to name it. Bacula will then use the newly created volume for the backup job.
