My spool disk has 79GB and bacula is allowed (by config) to use
70GB, despooling when it reaches this limit.

well, upon further investigation, it looks like bacula-sd runs as root
anyway.

I'm about to use the "update slots scan" bconsole command for the
first time as I'm fed up with doing all the manual work changing a set
of tapes involves.
In a perfect (bacula) world, this command would achieve the following:
- load all tapes in the changer one after the other

I am also not sure about upgrading from Simone Caronni's repo. If
purging works fine than there is no need to break Bacula.
