I run bacula-1.38.11 on some Debian Sarge boxes, on one of them I have a Sun
L9 DLT8000 autochanger. Backing up to tape works and I can run mtx-cahnger
script manually, but when I try to run backup to the autochanger in sted of
to the tape the mtx-changer script will not load tape. I suspect that

I also have a setup whit only one standalone director/storage server. It
would be smart to do it on this server first ... I think :)
Any jumpstarting help is very welcome!

Yes, but that is something you want anyway. To take backup of the bacula
Catalog database you need a bacula-fd on the daemon host.

Nothing, when you
I have a working configuration of Bacula, where I take incremental
backup to disk 5 days a week and a Full backup to disk once a month.
There is a new volum every day with the retention of 57 days (almost two
months). The system runs on some Debian Sarge boxes with bacula-1.36.2
and mtx-1.2.16rel-4

Is it possible to genrate a list of the name of files that are backed up
during a incremental job on a client. I suspect that some one (a user)
runs a script that do a touch on a lot of files ... or some thing like
that. If I have some lists of filenames from some days I can compare the
list and fi

I've tried to compile bacula-fd (./configure --enabel-client-only) on an
old HP box running HPUX 10.20. The last messages I get is that it can't
find "fork". In the bacula manual I see that "ptreads" is needed ... Can
I understand this so that, because of HPUX 10.20 does not have "fork" or
treads,

If I have understod it right will the volume be purged/deleted before
the retention time for files, jobs and volume stored on the specific
volume. And to restore files you need both the volume (where the files
are stored) and the job info (stored in the database, not on the
volume).
My problem is
