[Bacula-users] "ERR=out of memory" when building directory tree

2005-04-26 Thread matthew_buckland
Hello List, I'm trying to restore some files from a job that was pruned from my catalog a while back. I *think* I have successfully bscanned it in, but I can't be sure. The command I tried first was this: bscan -V "mdmon0001|mdmon0006|mdmon0007" -v -s -c /usr/local/etc/bacula-sd.conf /dev/sa0

[Bacula-users] out of memory building directory tree

Hello list, I'm trying to restore something from a job with a huge number of files in it. I get as far as "Building directory tree for JobId 1589 ...", but after a few minutes I'm thrown back to my shell and cannot reconnect to the director. Director appears to be running still, but when I run

[Bacula-users] performance decaying with huge backup

2005-11-16 Thread matthew_buckland
Hello list, I've been running bacula very happily now for nearly a year and am so far very pleased. However the amount of data that is now being backed up with this system is huge. The problem I have is that for the first 3-4GB of backup, I'm getting a nice 6-7Mbytes/s, which is great! Then bey

Hi Thomas, I think you're missing an =. Should be "Volume Retention = 4 weeks" Also try "Recycle Current Volume = yes". Bacula will use whichever volume is mounted, but obeys the retention periods. Hope this helps, Matt On Wednesday 16 November 2005 14:12, Thomas Simmons wrote: > All tapes in

Hi Pablo, It your database does not contain the correct records you have to use bscan to reinsert them. Have a look here: Matt On Wednesday 16 November 2005 15:45, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hello

Hello, I've just upgraded to 1.36.2, which was highly exciting, but I can't enable the resource forks option :-( I have put the line reading "HFS Plus Support = yes" in my fileset resource, but it complains when I start the director. Did I miss something? I'm running FreeBSD5.3. Thanks, -- Matt

Also, you say you are running FreeBSD, it that is the case, you will not get much from adding the above directive as it applies only to Darwin systems. Ah. I misunderstood. I thought I could backup to a tape drive on a FreeBSD machine, having the file-daemon running on the Darwin system. That wo
