I could use cvs, but for a released piece of software, I'd rather get
a tar ball.

nt and not quite trivial but still easy part is the
regular ``merging'' of 2.2.x fixes into 2.3.
In our GNU project (www.R-project.org), we have been doing this for a few
years now, quite successfully. We even have some notes on how to
go about the branches, merging: On http://develo

We do so similarly for the R project (www.R-project.org),
calling the two branches "R-release" and "R-devel"(opment).
Thank you for all the good work f

But then,
looking in my saved info-bbdb messages, I found quite a few suggestions
for patches to bbdb-1.50.
1.50was released Feb. 1994...
is there anything like an intermediate new release?
someone knowledgable willing to make all his/her patches to 1.50 available
here ?
Thanks for an

I DO use bbdb 1.48 AND GNU Emacs 19.19 --- nicely working.
What did I 'change' ?
1) Make sure that BBDB's 'mail-extr.el[c]' files are used --
NOT GNU Emacs 19 ones.
[this was suggested in the bbdb-list by Jamie Z.]
This was the only NECESSARY thing to stop occasional 'c
e for me.
I never was quite sure if it was not my own's fault, i.e., the fault of my
special mail / rmail hooks.

I did not...
