Hello there
What happens if you setup SBR from SBC both connecting to an AP (i.e.
not bridged and no ethernet cable attached to SBR)? Does the led also
stay blue when you restart your server?
No, that works OK (led goes white)
By restarting the server do you mean
By using the Start menu shortcut (SqueezeCenter Startup Options), I
filled in my personal account information.
If I use services.msc I see that SqueezeCenter is the *only* service

If you leave username and password blank then it runs as a Local System
(I think, doing this from memory).
Works for me, at least!

Go to the service in the services list - double click to bring up its
properties. Go to Log On tab and change it to Local System.
The one reason you might want it running as your user is if it is
connecting to any network/shared resources. Since Local System won't
have permissions to view these

Works for me, at least! Is this documented somewhere? I must have missed it
somehow. Thanks to
TomS too. I'll try both approaches and see what works and how.

Ok, great! Thanks for the detailed feedback. We really appreciate it.
So, if SBR is connected wireless it works either if you only stop and
restart SC7 or if you power down everything an then power it up again.

Are you running on Windows? I'll bet this bug is still valid for the

The only way I've ever gotten Softsqueeze headless to work is to use
No - this is on a Debian box, running quietly in a corner of my office,
never causing any trouble, just doing what it's supposed to do all the
time (until I get involved in another project like now!).

This just happened to me again. I shut down SC7, did an SVN update,
then restarted the server (running as a service under XP). It took an
unusually long time before anything was displayed on the nearby SB2
screen (maybe 30-45 seconds, when it's usually less than 5), then I saw
'Now Playing...'.

Yes, the SBR SBC reconnect on their own in either case.
It seems as though the SBC doesn't attempt to send a WOL packet to

If you say so. Not so much YELLOW as, perhaps PALE CHAMPAIGN?
