They should up their subscription fee. I'd pay $20/month for their
service. (If it helped them make it more reliable).

The root cause of the problem is Rhapsody's servers are overloaded.
They have a fix coming soon for the problem (was supposed to be
Thursday but it was delayed). Yes, all other Rhapsody Direct devices
are having the exact same problem. Hang in there, it will get better.

Listening to Rhapsody Channel: Fireside Chill-
-2 squeezebox receivers synced.
-After two songs, the song ends and the controller appears to be
playing song, with -59:58 left counting down. This is the same problem
I had before it was fixed in 7.2.
-Pressing next starts the next song.

I'm very dissapointed with rhapsody lately, and the thing is- I love the
idea of the huge catalog at my fingertips, as well as the ability to
skip songs on the channels. I can't listen to the sirius stations
because when I hate a song, I want to skip it- and can't.
I purchased my squeezebox duet
Great, looking forward to your findings :-)

As I said in the other thread, sorry for that. Using Windows GUI tools
can sometimes be a hassle (used WinMerge and it was not set to produce
unified diffs). Re-uploaded unified diff, I hope 3 context lines are
enough?
And, hey, thanks for willing to give some feedback from the Linux end!

My fault, apologies. (Windows tools *grumblemumble*) I'll change the
diff files promptly … 3 context lines enough? (The path will
probably be wrong since I do this on a German Windows.)

GD is required or the server won't start. And PNG/JPG/GIF support is
also required or you'll get crashes in the artwork code when trying to
resize.

could you please post a patch in unified diff format (or even better: attach it
to a bug)? Thanks!

Thanks Moonbase. No need to post the patch more than once. Better add it to the
appropriate bug (which somebody has done for you). Will check this after the
weekend. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the bug hunting party in the land of charset issues :-)
May i propose you attach unified diffs (diff -u) instead - this makes
reading and applying the patches a lot simpler (at least for me) and
mimics the behaviour of a "svn diff ". Nevertheless let's see
what michael has to say to th
Yep, now I did (see changed post). Had to fix two other bugs first
because they also had to do with the MusicIP plugin (playlist and mood
names containing foreign characters).

Not much in that log about artwork, just a bunch of cached files.

If i skip song manually before it ends everything is ok
If SP wants to advance to next tune by it's own it freezez and i have
to:

Ive had this once on 7.3-24282/Windows today so it might not be
OS-specific. Unfortunately I cant remember the song, just restarted
SP.

If you use the Music Folder for scanning and set your MusicIP plugin to
only check for mixable status, all titles that have »foreign«
characters (non-ASCII) in their file paths wouldn’t show mixable,
i.e.

MENSCH\GRöNEMEYER, HERBERT - BLICK ZU

i used to build SqueezePlay for linux from SVN-code in the

you have to compile and build a new binary each time.

Hi
Just want to 'bump' this post.
I can confirm that I have the same error on my Controller.
And this error is in the 7.3 (r3476) version of the Controller.
Is this registered as a bug yet?

I run SqueezeCenter via the perl source code, using SVN to keep up to date.
I see there are nightlies available for SqueezePlay, but is there an equivalent
way of running it from source code?
