Andy, you fixed it properly! first of all, there is no problem whatsoever loading 200 files into mp3tag and removing id3v1.1 tags. safe and easy. of course, you could just do 200 or 2 at a time if you want. confirm it works properly, then load the rest. secondly, you can't just remove v1

Andy, you fixed it properly! I'm not so sure - I don't think there was a problem to be fixed. It may extend further than id3v1 vs id3v2, in that other tag formats could be merged together. first of all, there is no problem whatsoever loading 200 files into mp3tag and removing id3v1.1 tags.

well, in the bug i suggested that blank tag fields for artist and title be filled in the DB with a preset string saying what layer was missing. but i don't see whats so complex with how andy did it... it makes sense to me. if v1 has info and v2 is blank, use whats in v1. i'm just not seeing
