I noticed that when using the WebUI with Version : 7.6.2 - r33212, the
selected player on the right changes automatically. It seems to always
swap to the same one but I can say what exactly triggers that change.

For some time, Zap, the function that used to be on add-hold that moves
the selected playlist entry to the zapped playlist, has been broken on
the controller.
Now I see a beta function in the controller for customizing keys.
Adding zap to the list of choices would be a nice repair for this
issue

I provide menu access to the Zap function via my Playlist Manager plugin, which
should work on the Controller.

i'm curious to know your client list...?
sony ps3?
sony tv/blu ray devices?
droid?
wmp?
foobar?
xbox?
others?
i'm sure andrewFG would
I just installed (clean install) Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.0 -
r33231 @ Sat Aug 27 03:04:38 PDT 2011 on a Windows XP Pro system. The
main reason I updated was to wee if any improvements had been made with
the handling of cue sheets. In my case the answer is a resounding NO.
In any fold
I'm not sure if I'd expect any problems to be fixed in LMS 7.7. It's
really just 7.6.1 with half-finished scanning of images and movies,
plus a DLNA server added.

Sad thing is I filed a bug report at Andy's request on 2009-02-13.
Still not any better.

Is there some reason why you persist with cue sheets? Life is so much
easier with individual flac files if you use Squeezeboxes. Cue sheets
are really not needed these days.
Is the currently selected player losing its connection? I would expect
to see the symptom you describe if that happened. You could easily tell
(if you happen to notice it in time) by whether the other player
disappears from the drop-down list.

I'll test with this stuff I have around:
the ps3 would be a good one, there's like 55 million of them. it should
work with "normal" dlna/upnp.
there's like 55 million xbox's too, BUT i think its ver of dlna/upnp is
specialized. some sort of extra code on top of it, called media center
extenders or something like that.
still, when you

How about a Logitech Revue? Isn't it one of the devices, besides
squeezeboxes, that will be officially supported by LMS?

I don't understand. You've had this same problem for -2 1/2 years-??? I
though 7.6 introduced a number of CUE sheet handling bugs.

I figured the Revue went without saying, as it

It's still in the list.

Are you using a stream.mp3 client, eg. some software player connecting to SBS?
I've seen this happen in this case too.
