that I I've got a umber of images but I can't use LMS for music at all
because it never even starts to scan my music... And for

This is still broken but in a more subtle fashion .
if SBS is restarted from the web-UI it migth run as perl not

it migth even be that a second restart from the web-UI won't work .
You get prompted to restart after plugin updates, this

there is no way it should be designed that way... there should be
multiple scan modes. if u add an album, you shouldn't have to rescan

Yes if you with all mean that that a new/changed rescan will

If that's the case I would expect to see it among the plugins on the
Settings Plugin page. Even plugins that can't be disabled are shown
there.

Ah, Ok. I see it. I guess I expected it to be among the plugins that
couldn't be disabled.

Does the new Image Viewer plugin require the DLNA server to be running,

Yeah ImageBrowser requires it, as it's using some of the
ContentDirectory stuff.

When viewing the full size images in the web UI I see URLs reminiscent
of URLs used to resize artwork. Although they're not being resized, are
the images going into the server's artwork cache?
The full sized images are resized when viewed on the Touch. Are these
images being cached?

Are 'albums' simply directory names? Directories with the same name in
different locations all get merged when browsing albums.
If I have
\Photos
..\Utah
..\..\landscapes
..\..\people
..\Yosemite
..\..\landscapes
..\..\people
Then I end up with only one 'landscapes' album and one 'people'
Yeah it's pretty simplistic now. But I think you're going to have to wait for
Michael to get back to really discuss Image Browser. He's taking a few days off.

If SBS 7.7 provides a DLNA server, then you can access the files it
serves with a DLNA client, like PlugPlayer, on your iPad.
With PlugPlayer, you should also see the DLNA server on your VortexBox
-- it shows up as VortexBox media server -- if your iPad is on the
same network as the VB.

Extras menu with pictures should be working in the latest nighlies, at
least it does for me
