I understand that I can use the Switch Library View to select a library that
all other browse options will then use, is that right?
e.g. in Web UI, if I go to Home Switch Library View Low Bitrate Low
Bitrate, I can then visit Home Albums to see a list of albums containing low
bitrate
3. It seems the chosen library view is a per-server setting, not per-player?
Actually, seems to be per-client, not server or player. i.e. I can Switch
Library view on a Touch, and if I then use the Web UI to browse music with that
player chosen, the Web UI library view will be used.

Hi,
I have this behaviour already in LMS 7.8, i.e. the composer is displayed
together with the artist in the Now Playing field of the LMS web GUI. I
am pretty sure it was that way also in version 7.7.2, so I don't think
this issue is limited to LMS 7.9.

But why does the music stop in my case?
Did you power off the device or did you pause it? I'm not sure about the
alarm, but it might actually only pause it -
Thanks for the feedback, guys.
Where are these new options? I do see one new one: Trigger Scan on
Preference Changes.
There are a couple more dealing with virtual libraries.
I don't follow what you're saying about official translations. How do
we know what's considered official?
You can

Yes, that's the idea.
1. Why when selecting a library do you have to select it twice in the Web UI
(i.e. pick the option, revealing the name of the library

Do you really have to click it twice? Isn't the first response just a
bit confusing, as it's supposed to be a show briefly on the device?
Actually, no it appears that selecting (web UI) Home Switch Library View

Perhaps a bug with detecting low bitrate songs?
I would guess that the scan didn't finish correctly. Anything in
scanner.log?
Scan seemed to complete okay. Although it does appear to have completed
quicker than I expect:

I must have defined a while back with Erlands Custom Libraries plugin. All of

All for these ideas as optional features.
As an alternative, what if each playlist remembered it's last play position (at
least track, preferable track and time). If you had a specific named playlist,
and an alarm started, replacing that playlist, you could select to play the
playlist again
The second issue is one that is close to my heart. When the boom first
came out I was hoping there would be more options in terms of long term
scheduling so I could put in the holidays and the beginning of the year
or something, but that never materialized.
That said I frequently wake up before
I seem to have found a reproducible bug with this new (otherwise
excellent) functionality:

2. Second database scan after LMS start/restart -

album was displayed.
Remember in id3 tags, TPE2 represents Band/Orchestra. The pref was an option
to select whether to display the Band contributor(s) or the (track) Artist
contributor(s).
You can define how TPE2
Now the characters are in the wrong order: A should be before Å, I'd say
(the ORDER BY without COLLATE results in the Å after the X). Specifying
COLLATE in the GROUP BY clause seems to have no effect when the ORDER BY
is following.
That's a very interesting observation. Could you please add
me myself and i did nothing ;-)
The Alert was set for a runtime of 50 Minutes.
I guess the alert PAUSES the music and then powers off the device.
Because if i manually power off a device, music is played on the other
one.
So the Alert-Stopper seems to be my Show-Stopper.
But is this new to 7.9?

Would you see the same behaviour scanning your collection manually? Do
you have any of the other new browse modes (Advanced Browse Modes

I've always wanted a means of browsing random albums in the web UI. For

Offhand, I can't really see a way to do it, but was wondering if the
Additional Browse Modes plugin could somehow be configured to create
such a thing?
I can't imagine a way either. The additional modes do some filtering
based on genres and roles. But not much more (unless hard-coded).
