socketwrapper.exe was substituted for cmd.exe for spawning the flac
transcoding processes on windows systems. It's sounding like the last
few samples of each track are getting chopped off.

In testing I found that when making any change to the tags of the
affected files fixed the issue...but I can't be bothered to re-tag 600
tracks when 6.3 reads them just fine. I've now just installed the
official 6.5 release and it does exactly the same
FYI, I just found a problem with our parsing of ID3v2.3 tag data in an iTunes
3.0.1 (yes), encoded file. So having the file will definitely help.

But you make no provision for dealing with Various Artist albums, or
multidisc albums.
So far this is the best way we've found to remove duplicate album
entries.

preposterous number of cycles to spend indexing 8246 tracks from
641 albums and 414 artists? This is a puny amount of data.
No, that's about what I'd expect. I have 13k tracks, and
1 - 100 of 421 matches
