big investment and too little money to earn for them. They truly need to up the pace they add services at, it's a very fast moving market ( call it unstable ) so constanly adding services is necessary just to not loose ground. -- Mnyb

upgrades should be done to a running server without restart. Some plugins are tangled in the dB and scanning and may need a restart to be realigned with whatever the server is up to. Worst case is that it is drawback of using perl and old versions cant be ofloaded on the fly. -- Mnyb

rescans of media files including music etc. The system had only two scan modes clear and rescan everything and scan for new and changed none of the new scan modes introduced since bug 17614 would work. -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA

It really never worked properly in windows, did they not make that setting invisible in the windows version ? They migth have removed it completely, I'm not at home rigth now can't check it out ? Wonder how it works together with pictures and videos ? -- Mnyb

due to TrackStat trying to write to the DB while the scan is running. That's another open issue. -- Michael I know that's when I forget to stop the music while I'm scanning :-/ it usually works fine if you clear all playlist and don't play music. -- Mnyb
