My question is, Why?
I have about 450 albums. Figuring 10 tracks each, and a decent looking
256x256 JPEG runs about 40k, or so; I'll need another 180 MB of hard
drive space to accomodate the pictures. What's the upside?

was thinking GBs not MBs, which
is not such a big deal these days. And yes, I suppose it is currently a
bit of a problem when all your files are in one folder. :-)

blamed on the neighbors clogging the airwaves. There
are several wireless networks near me.
So, if you're willing to invest in a $75.00 experiment, get an access
point, and see if that works better.

differ when
Slimserver is running vs. stopped. Maybe not as much as you would like,

Thanks, Richard.
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over the issue. The transcoding thing
works fine for me in this particular instance. Have fun on your trip!

I said it seems trivial. And it still does, as you've offered no
reason why it's not.
Are you a programmer? If so, offer psuedocode as a solution.

, using build 6751 of Slimserver, the page loads in a
browser in a second or less. Using the later versions, it takes more
than 20 seconds for http://localhost:9000/xml/xml.status to load in a
browser.

. Then
Richard Titmus recommended I suggest this as a feature for SlimServer,
so here it is.
You need to request it at http://bugs.slimdevices.com

I'm new to the nightlies. I was looking at the buildlog.win.txt file for
today's nightly, and I saw numerous lines denoting errors, mostly the
script not finding things. Should I worry about these error lines, or
are they inconsequential?
