I agree. But apparently in those days even a menu option is only a menu
option if it has it's own image :-) Yesterday I scrolled through
thousands of radio stations and guess what: even the most obscure radio
station has it's own logo now. I'm getting too old maybe?

I am asking me - what are the icons for? If the controller would be a
touch screen unit? Maybe then...
Specially if the language is set to German all menu-names are longer
and have to scroll. So without the icon no scrolling would be needed...

1. My headphone plug is working, but,
2. The playback is much worse. In the previous version I had stutter
free play of flacs as long as the bitrate was not above 500. Now it
stutters all the time.

I turned off all sound effects on the controller. Because I missed the
bleep when putting the controller in the cradle, I switched on 'Charge'
in Audio settings. Nothing. So I put on all effects. Still nothing.

Yes, I did a factory reset. BTW there is no other way to get it working

I intentionally stuck with an older 7.4 build (25015) to avoid issues
due to automatic updates, but my controller automatically downloaded the
r7084 firmware update. Between the non-functional Home button and the
empty Current Playlist, this firmware version is rather difficult to
use.

menus being truncated :-().

Yeah, this seems a bit of an issue for me too. Together with the icons and
the chatty German language most of the menu items are cut off by to much.

Two big problems.
There is no "off" on the menu. How do you stop playing, then turn back
keeping the same playlist?

I'm running SC 7.4 r28189, controller has r5580 - and no update. If I
choose "Software Update" (German Version) there is only an option to
cancel, but no download starts...
