I use BulkFileChanger http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bulk_file_changer.html to manipulate time stamps so that New Music is a true record of the date an album was added rather than the date the album was modified. Frank could use this utility to update a playlist by 5 seconds which is enough to trigg

Ok charts ,note that the default max playlist length ln LMS is 500 tracks , increase that setting so that bignplaylist dont get trunkated . The 500 limit is historically for performance reasons , but with recent development its safe to increase ( my atom based server is ok with 4000 tracks ) -

Which Version? i am using the latest lms and just updated to 7.9.0~1464697159_i386.deb - just changed (with an editor like you) some playlists and did a rescan for playlist. The removed file from that playlist isnt shown anymore in this playlist - everything is fine. I just did a other check and
