>From memory (not at home to test), I'm pretty sure that with mp3tag that
just selecting the tracks and clicking the save will resave tags even if
you have not added or changed any tags. I'm pretty sure that this will
update all tags and should be fine for all file formats.

FYI, I just found a problem with our parsing of ID3v2.3 tag data in an iTunes
3.0.1 (yes), encoded file. So having the file will definitely help.

I had something similar happen to me, but it was not on 6.5b3. I was
running an earlier 6.5b nightly and I had been adding album art to my
library using WMP11Beta. When I isolated

OS is XP Pro SP2
Install was clean - was very careful to remove all traces of 6.3.1
No plugins installed.
I never tried it without Itunes installed, but did try it with a
totally clean install of Itunes 6. I did however try it both ways -
using Itunes library and
